   The courses discussed on this page may be taken to meet prerequisite requirements to MBA core classes OR simply to gain knowledge in the area of Business. Completion of three or more will award a Certificate of Business Foundations.

  • Prerequisites must be met BEFORE being cleared to start MBA or Distance MBA classes.
  • It is possible to purchase any or all of the following from the Auburn University MBA Office directly if you did not take the classes as an undergraduate or if you are interested in obtaining a Certificate of Business Foundations. Order only the courses you know you need because it is not possible to return them. There is a no refund policy.
  • Once you have purchased the self-study CD courses, viewed and studied all of the material, you will take a competency exam that is scored as a pass or fail grade.
  • The cost per course is $300, which is paid in the form of a check and made payable directly to the Auburn University MBA Program.
  • You may work through the series at your own pace, however you should be aware of deadlines associated with enrollment in MBA classes for any given semester.
  • Textbooks (listed below) are available at Amazon.com, Varsitybooks.com and BarnesandNoble.com.

  • The Competency Exam will be sent to your test proctor as soon as one is established with Becky Young in the Outreach Office. Please contact her if you do not have an approved proctor already.
