 There are NINE prerequisites for the MBA Program at Auburn University. These are not required for acceptance, but must be fully satisfied before being cleared to start MBA classes. They are:
- Calculus I
- Statistics (Undergraduate Level)
- Principles of Accounting I
- Principles of Accounting II
- Principles of Microeconomics
- Principles of Macroeconomics
- Principles of Finance
- Principles of Management
- Principles of Marketing
There are a number of ways to meet these prerequisite requirements:
- Apply undergraduate courses already taken with a grade of 'C' or better.
- Take the following undergraduate courses at Auburn University and make a 'C' or better. (These are not available as distance learning courses).
- MATH 1610 Calculus I
- STAT 2610 Statistics for Business & Economics
- ACCT 2110 Principles of Financial Accounting
- ACCT 2210 Principles of Managerial Accounting
- ECON 2020 Principles of Microeconomics
- ECON 2030 Principles of Macroeconomics
- FINC 3610 Principles of Business Finance
- MNGT 3100 Principles of Management
- MKTG 3310 Principles of Marketing
- Take the undergraduate level courses at another college or university or your local community college.
- Purchase some or all of the "Certificate in Business Series" from the Auburn MBA Program and pass competency exams. These courses are CD-ROM based lectures created to help students meet the prerequisite foundations work. Please note the Certificate Series courses DO NOT CARRY ACADEMIC CREDIT, but fully meet Auburn MBA requirements for foundation knowledge.
- Take CLEP (College-Level Examination Program) exams for the prerequisites.
