MBA students in the on-campus program will participate in a curriculum model that is considered to be a lock-step method. Everyone begins in Fall semester and finishes the next Fall semester. Only students participating in a dual MBA or another Masters degree will be on a different time schedule.
Those who want to follow another method should discuss exceptions to the curriculum rules with Dr. Gropper. There are 39 semester hours required for the MBA degree unless a student is exempt from the MBA Internship. Those students would be required to have 36 semester hours. The model below is an example of the usual 39-hour
program. Each class is three semester hours.
Courses are designed to give students a broad scope of training in each of the main business subjects. Most classes are structured with lectures, group projects, and case studies, giving students the chance to apply their individual knowledge as well as experience in specific areas. Student contribution
is important to the class structure, as participation in case analyses benefits students by exposing them to unique perspectives, and in some cases cultural differences.
