The admissions requirements for International Students are fundamentally the same as all students seeking admission to the MBA program, but there are additional steps necessary for completion. The following list is a summary of additional information that all international students should take into consideration when applying to the program. All applications should be reviewed with the Auburn University Graduate School as well as the MBA Office to ensure all requirements have been met.
- International Students are required by the Auburn Graduate School to complete the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and score a minimum of 550 for the paper version or 213 for the computer version.
- A $50 (U.S.) non-refundable fee is changed for application processing. This payment must accompany your application and should be in the form of a credit card, traveler's check, or money order payable in the United States.
- Submit application no later than three months before the beginning of the term in which you wish to enter graduate school. Earlier is recommended!
- All international students, if accepted into a graduate program, must demonstrate full financial sponsorship, proof of a comprehensive medical insurance plan, and submit an
Official Statement of Financing for International Students Form (The Graduate School Official Statement of Finances)
- The Graduate School cannot guarantee any form of financial aid.
- Potential students must also meet the MBA admissions requirements.
Financial assistance in the form of a limited number of Graduate Research Assistantships can be offered to students who present a GMAT score of 600 and higher. GRAs currently include a stipend of $600 per month (during the 9-month academic year and when classes are in session). In addition, GRAs cover all Auburn University tuition payments. MBA students who are not awarded an assistantship to start the fall semester are usually appointed with one in the beginning of the spring semester. Scholarship monies are sometimes offered to in-coming students who have achieved exemplary academic records as an undergraduate or another graduate program. However, all MBA students are eligible to apply for scholarship awards after the middle of fall semester. Scholarships can be awarded to both 1st Year students as well as 2nd Year students.
The following pages are areas of additional information that have been provided to all prospective international students seeking admission. Please feel free to contact the MBA office, Auburn Graduate School, or any other listed resources for further information.
