For many International Students, the thrill of traveling abroad to study is as rewarding as the educational experience gained at a foreign university. For those students who desire to make Auburn their home away from home, we welcome you to take a bold new step in learning and join an Auburn family like none other found around the world. The students at Auburn take pride in their diversity, sophistication, and friendly nature. With a class that is one-third internationally based, many students find that they can find ample camaraderie, and that the program is perfect for their transition into American culture.

Auburn University hosts a variety of clubs and organizations designed to welcome international students to campus and help them adjust to the lifestyle changes around them. The International Student Organization is one such club, but there are many more for students to join based on their national origin. For a more complete list of clubs, visit the Living In the U.S. section of this site as well as the Auburn University Student Life area. Religious Organizations have also been established, and can be found at the Auburn Campus Organizations Website.

Classes in the MBA Program are designed to prepare students of all backgrounds for the hectic business world. To do so, the program places emphasis on communication skills necessary to promote ideas and deliver proper meaning during stressful situations. Public speaking is crucial, and many classes require speaking roles in presentations, lectures, and round table discussions. For those students studying English as a second language, these requirements can add an additional layer of necessary study, and sometimes frustration. The Auburn University faculty understand these differences and are willing to work with students so that both parties gain from the experience of working through communication barriers. However, students should understand that competent English language skills are necessary for admission into the program and for continued academic success. Students may visit the Auburn English as a Second Language Program to learn more about the various tutoring services and support available to international students.
