The Auburn University MBA program has a large emphasis on team work. In this program, each individual is placed into several different groups during the span of the program and much like in the real world students are unable to choose their other team members. Every person has to adjust to the character and personality of each of their team members and learn to work together in a way that will produce positive results. The overall productivity of each group is a true reflection of each team member’s contribution, positive or negative. The MBA program provides all the tools necessary so that a graduate will be able to participate successfully in a group with active leadership and help the group to maximize its productivity.

During my first eight months at TSYS, I was invited to sit on several committees whose purpose was to improve processes and work flows. Because of my experiences in the Auburn University MBA program, I was able to take part in these committees with great success. I have opportunities on a daily basis to use the tools I learned at Auburn. I am grateful for both the education and degree I received. The skills I learned in the program are already positively recognized by my peers as well as my superiors. With these skills, I firmly believe that a career on the fast track is unavoidable.

I saw the MBA Program as a way to get an edge over over job applicants. The financial world is highly competitive, and anything that differentiates you from the rest of the pack is extraordinarily beneficial. The Auburn MBA met my education needs for the following reasons: value for your dollar; alumni contact network; and quality of campus facilities. I chose the program for those reasons. Auburn University and the Auburn MBA Program seemed to be a great fit because of the relatively low cost, excellent alumni ties, and new classrooms and computer labs.

The program was certainly demanding, but it did not take away from the opportunities to enjoy campus life and Auburn's social atmosphere. The Auburn MBA Program definitely prepared me for my career not only academically in terms of class offerings in finance, but also in providing me with the necessary experience of working as a team among a diverse group of people.
